BSK Maps His Growth on Debut EP “Benert”

BSK isn’t just releasing an EP — he’s opening a three-year time capsule.

Released on February 13, 2026, Benert marks the debut project from the rising UK electronic artist, and it feels like a defining moment. Rooted in drum & bass with flashes of 140-inspired rhythms, the EP channels the energy of Britain’s underground electronic scene while carrying a deeply personal undertone.

Created alongside his close friend and producer Big Heck (Robert), Benert documents the duo’s shared journey — the grind, the breakthroughs, and the lessons learned along the way. Every track was built in-house by the pair and later polished by JSD, moving between BSK’s home studio and the professional setup he now runs as a business. That hands-on process gives the EP a raw authenticity; it sounds lived-in rather than manufactured.

BSK’s style is fluid but focused. You can hear the experimental edge inspired by Aphex Twin’s Syro, the bold intensity reminiscent of Eminem’s Relapse, and the storytelling swagger that nods to The Notorious B.I.G.’s Greatest Hits. There are hints of hip hop, lo-fi textures, chill-out atmospheres, and classic drum & bass drive — but none of it feels boxed in. Instead of chasing trends, BSK builds mood and emotion first, letting listeners interpret the layers in their own way.

The journey started back in Chorley, Lancashire in 2019, when he and his friends would freestyle into a Blue Ember mic over random YouTube beats. Those chaotic early sessions laid the groundwork for what would become Oscillation Records — the label he founded to house his own releases and uplift other emerging artists.

Career milestones have already started stacking up, including a release with JSD on Virus Syndicate’s label — a full-circle achievement for someone who grew up listening to them after first connecting through Prima. And before its official release, Benert was already road-tested live on February 5, 2026, with BSK performing the EP in full, aiming to recreate the kind of electric crowd connection he once felt at Soup Kitchen Manchester.

At its core, Benert is about growth — personal, creative, and professional. It’s an artist mapping out who he’s been and where he’s headed, without losing the joy that made him start in the first place.

With Benert, BSK delivers a debut that’s both reflective and forward-thinking
