VIAVE Shares New Dreamy Pop Single ‘Blush’

Producer and DJ from Tallinn, Estonia, VIAVE has unveiled her latest single, “Blush,” a mesmerizing blend of dreamy electronic beats and atmospheric pop that serves as the first glimpse into her upcoming EP, “THE SPARK DIED ON SUNDAY.” Accompanied by a visually stunning, peach-toned music video, “Blush” is an audiovisual experience that captures the complexities of love, unmet expectations, and the raw emotions that come with navigating relationships.

From the very first note, “Blush” immerses listeners in a lush soundscape that showcases VIAVE’s versatility as an artist. Drawing inspiration from Flume’s intricate sound design and AURORA’s ethereal melodies, the track is a masterful fusion of experimental electronic elements and emotional depth. VIAVE’s ability to balance these influences while infusing her own unique style is a testament to her artistry. As she explains, “This song is as versatile as I am as a person—I love many things.”

Lyrically, “Blush” delves into the tension between deep, loving feelings and the harsh reality of unmet expectations. It’s a theme that resonates with anyone who has experienced the push-and-pull of a complicated relationship. VIAVE’s storytelling is both personal and universal, as she crafts a narrative that feels deeply authentic yet open to interpretation. “I enjoy telling stories based on real experiences and emotions, but the beauty of art is that you can take it to the extreme,” she shares. This emotional intensity is mirrored in the song’s accompanying music video, which features striking visuals like popping balloons in frustration and screaming into pillows—symbols of vulnerability and release.

VIAVE’s hands-on approach to her craft is evident in every aspect of “Blush.” She produced, wrote, and recorded the track in her home studio, and even directed the music video herself. The song was mixed and mastered by Markus Palo, a seasoned engineer known for his work with artists like INGA and White Girl, ensuring a polished yet deeply emotive final product.

“Blush” is the lead single from VIAVE’s upcoming EP, “THE SPARK DIED ON SUNDAY,” which also includes the tracks Eleventh Hour and “The Night Shift.” Together, these songs form a 9-minute visual album film, a project funded by the Estonian Authors’ Society. This ambitious undertaking highlights VIAVE’s commitment to creating cohesive, immersive artistic experiences.

Beyond her work as a producer and artist, VIAVE is an active DJ and participant in songwriting camps, further solidifying her place in the music industry. With three singles and two EPs already under her belt, she continues to evolve as an artist, guided by mentors like Avoid Dave and a passion for pushing creative boundaries.

“Blush” is more than just a song—it’s a statement. It’s a reminder that art can be a powerful tool for processing and expressing even the most vulnerable emotions. Connect With VIAVE on Instagram and Spotify
