Kill The Silence are back — and they’ve returned swinging with a track that feels like pure, cinematic chaos in all the best ways. Their new single “Hide & Seek” is sharp, suspenseful, and drenched in the kind of post-hardcore adrenaline that first put the Leeds band on the map.
Inspired by the movie Ready Or Not, frontman Jason Walsh channels the film’s lethal game of survival into a song that moves with the same frantic energy. You can practically feel the protagonist running for her life as the riffs chase her down. Jason describes it simply: “I started writing songs based on movies or TV shows I really liked… this one is based on ‘Ready Or Not’, where the protagonist is hunted down in a lethal game of hide & seek.” And honestly? You can hear every ounce of that tension.
The track marks a major moment for Kill The Silence, a band that has been building steady momentum since their formation at Leeds College of Music back in 2012. After anchoring their lineup in 2018 and dropping their debut EP Bloodlines, the band quickly earned radio attention from Kerrang! and BBC Introducing, plus support slots with heavy hitters like We Came As Romans and Mallory Knox.
Over the past few years, they’ve sharpened their sound through singles like Inevitable, Sinner, and Lost at Sea, all while bringing rhythm guitarist Daniel Ridding into the fold. Now, after a year dedicated to writing and reshaping their identity, “Hide & Seek” signals the start of a bold new era — heavier, more focused, and more cinematic than ever.
If this is the opening chapter of their 2026 run, Kill The Silence are gearing up for something huge.
